At JUSTPLAY UK, we pride ourselves on supporting everyone.
Our mission is to uplift our entire community and create a safe, inclusive space where everyone feels valued and heard.
Sadly, we recognise that people from minority ethnic backgrounds and the LGBTQIA+ community are still treated unfairly and face discrimination in our society.
At JUSTPLAY, we believe it’s vital to stand alongside those who experience prejudice and racism.
We support our community not only in session, by fostering a safe, respectful, and affirming environment, but also out of session through ongoing advocacy, resources, and initiatives designed to empower and uplift every individual.
This is also why we’ve created merchandise to celebrate and support the LGBTQIA+ community and, more recently, the #BlackLivesMatter movement. A portion of the profits from these items goes directly to our chosen charity to help those in need.

At JUSTPLAY, we believe sports and movement are for everyone -including expectant mothers. We actively welcome pregnant participants at all stages, ensuring our environments are safe, supportive, and empowering. Through our programs and facilities, we aim to empower individuals to reach their full potential.
We recognize the benefits of staying active during pregnancy, including enhanced mood, better posture, and sustained strength - when practiced safely and appropriately.
At JUSTPLAY our aim is clear: to empower women through sport, regardless of life stage. If you're expecting and interested in joining us, we’d love to welcome you! Please reach out for personalized guidance and support.
DISCLAIMER: Pregnant participants are welcome but must have medical clearance from their healthcare provider before joining. Please note, this is not an antenatal-specific session
At JUSTPLAY UK, we are deeply passionate about highlighting and supporting mental health.
We recognise the powerful impact that exercise and social connection have on overall well-being and we are committed to making a real difference to those in our community who may be struggling.
To help spread awareness and offer ongoing support, we regularly share information and contact details for agencies and charities so people can access additional help when they need it.
Our community initiatives have included creating motivational hand-held cards and sharing uplifting quotes every week on our social media through our #MentalHealthMonday campaign.
One of our most popular projects has been our "Bounce Back" campaign, where members of the community shared what helped them regain happiness and a sense of normality during COVID-19. This initiative sparked a wealth of self-care ideas and brought people together to support one another.
We are especially proud of the safe, welcoming environment we offer to young girls and women. Our sessions focus on much more than basketball – they are designed to build confidence, encourage self-expression and help participants develop positive self-esteem in a supportive space. By combining the love of sport with empowerment, we aim to give every girl and woman who joins us the tools to thrive both on and off the court.
